NYS DAAN supports projects designed to increase inclusion and community integration, and promote effective communication and partnerships with people with disabilities and their families. Our goal is to work on sustainable projects that are designed to have a positive impact on all people with disabilities and their families.
The Director is an active member of the Northeast ADA Trainers Network, and the National Association of Benefit and Workforce Information Specialists (NABWIS).
We offer a wide-range of consulting, training and technical assistance services; and ongoing grant search, cross-sector partnership development, and capacity building strategies that can improve efficiencies and project outcomes for advocacy groups and organizations working with people with disabilities.
We have a wide range of practical experiences about what works. Our services include: Consulting Training Technical Assistance New Program Development and Evaluation Collaborative Grant Development Strategic Planning and Capacity Building Developing Communities of Practice, Coalitions and Collaborations.
We are currently providing the evaluation and technical support for Partners in Health Education for People with Disabilities (PHEPD), a curriculum designed for healthcare professionals to improve their understanding, awareness, knowledge, skills, and professional clinical competencies in caring and treating patients with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers.
